- Waitlist data: your email address when you join the early-access waitlist, plus technical metadata needed to process the request (for example timestamp and duplicate-check information). We do not require an account to join the waitlist.
- Account data: for example email address, name, and authentication identifiers when you create an account or sign in (including through linked identity providers where we offer them).
- Profile and request data: game profile inputs you provide (such as tags, languages, or platforms), optional pitch or notes, and report preferences.
- Generated reports: report outputs (for example PDF or other formats) and related metadata stored with your account so you can view and download them again from your account area.
- Transactional email: messages we send about your account, waitlist, or report delivery (for example when early access opens, when a report is ready, or to send a copy by email), sent to the address you provided. These messages may be sent from hello@findgamepublishers.com.
- Usage and analytics data: information about how you interact with the site (for example pages viewed, button clicks, and custom events such as waitlist sign-ups), along with technical data such as browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.
Reports may incorporate public Steam store metadata processed for matching; that data is not “your” personal data in the same sense as an account, but it may reference games and publishers you select.
3. Why we use data
We use data to:
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users and prevent abuse.
- Operate the waitlist and send a transactional email when early access becomes available.
- Generate, store, and let you retrieve reports tied to your account.
- Send transactional emails (for example report delivery or account notices) to your registered email address.
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve the product (analytics).
- Comply with law and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
Where GDPR-style rules apply, we rely on appropriate bases such as contract (providing the Service you asked for), legitimate interests (security, proportionate analytics, and improving the Service), or consent where required (for example joining the waitlist or certain non-essential cookies, where applicable).
5. Processors and sharing
We use infrastructure and service providers to run the Service, including:
- Tally — waitlist form collection and email storage for early access sign-ups.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- PostHog — product analytics (for example page views, clicks, and conversion events). We do not enable session replay.
- Cloud database, authentication, and email providers — as needed for accounts, reports, and transactional messages when those features are available.
System mail may use hello@findgamepublishers.com as a sender or reply-to address. Data may be processed in regions where those providers operate (including the United States). We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
6. Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Waitlist email addresses are kept until early access is offered and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete them. Account and report-related data retention schedules may evolve with the product; check this page periodically.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. 8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. International transfers
If you access the Service from outside the country where data is hosted, your data may be transferred across borders. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the site to function (for example security and session cookies). We also use analytics technologies through PostHog to understand site usage. Analytics data is sent through our own domain where possible. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies at this time. If we add non-essential cookies or change how analytics works, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain consent.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
